Getting started
Welcome. This app helps you track clients, projects (contracts), billable hours, invoices, and business expenses — including mileage — in one place. You can open it in a phone browser or on a computer.
What you can do here
- See this month at a glance on the home screen: hours used vs your retainer cap, expenses, mileage, and open invoices.
- Start and stop a work timer when you are actively working for a client.
- Keep a time log you can bill from later.
- Create and send invoices.
- Record receipts and trips for taxes and bookkeeping.
- Run reports for your accountant or for your own records.
Everything is organized by client. Set up a client first, then add a contract (the agreement you bill under), then log time and expenses against it.
Signing in
- Open the link you were given (your business site address).
- Enter your email and password.
- If you use two-step verification, enter the code from your authenticator app when asked.
Trying the demo? On the login page, use Try demo with the shared demo password. Demo mode is read-only — you can look around but cannot save changes.
Finding your way around
On a phone, tap Menu in the top bar to open navigation. Tap a section name to go there. Tap Menu again or tap a link to close it.
On a computer, the main sections appear in the top bar:
| Menu item | What it is |
|---|---|
| Customers | People and companies you work for |
| Contracts | Billing agreements (retainer, project, etc.) |
| Time | Hours you have logged |
| Invoices | Bills you send to clients |
| Expenses | Money you spent on the business |
| Reports | Summaries for a month or year |
Tap the logo anytime to return home.
A sensible order for new users
- Add a customer — the person or company you bill.
- Add a contract — how you charge them (monthly retainer, included hours, flat fee).
- Log time — manually or with the work timer on the home screen.
- Record expenses — including mileage when you drive for work.
- Create an invoice when it is time to bill.
- Run a report when you need totals for taxes or your records.
Getting help
Use Help in the menu (or footer) anytime. Each guide is written for non-technical users and works on a small screen.
If something looks wrong — numbers that do not add up, a missing client — check that you picked the right contract when logging time or creating an invoice. Most mix-ups come from logging work under the wrong project.
